Why do AI systems degrade after deployment?

How often should AI systems be reviewed?

Quarterly as a baseline, sooner when a major model release lands or your workflow changes. Reviews check accuracy, cost and speed against the numbers agreed at deployment. Most reviews produce small adjustments; the point is catching drift while it is still cheap to fix.
